How is this calculated? ▾
The formula weights your existing grade with the non-final portion, then solves for the final score you need:
needed = (target − current × (1 − weight/100)) ÷ (weight/100)
For example: if you have 78%, want 85%, and the final is worth 30%:
needed = (85 − 78 × 0.70) ÷ 0.30 = (85 − 54.6) ÷ 0.30 = 101.3%
